Outpost

Claude Code on an always-on server, steered from a phone or a browser.

Role
Founder & engineer

Outpost landing page: “Your development environment, in the cloud”, with the terminal and phone views.

Overview

A private app and server that run several Claude Code sessions on an always-on machine, so I can start, watch and steer them with the laptop closed. The phone shows a chat layout; the web shows the real terminal. Every session is the unmodified Claude Code program in its own tmux session.

27 of its 28 planned tasks were built in one overnight, autonomous, parallel run of AI agents coordinated through Lore.

What I built

  1. 01Go server: passkey sign-in (password plus authenticator code as backup), sessions in tmux, a receiver for Claude Code's hooks, live updates, attachments, automatic recovery, push notifications, and HTTPS handled by the server itself.
  2. 02Flutter app for iPhone, Android, web and macOS.
  3. 03Sign-in always requires a passkey or a second factor.

Stack

  • Go
  • Flutter
  • tmux
  • Passkeys (WebAuthn)
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging
  • Next.js
